Looking up the weather on Yahoo!

Objective: Students will ask & answer questions about the weather. Students will look up the weather for four different cities on Yahoo.com.

Previously taught: weather vocabulary, questions "How's the weather?" and "What's the temperature?"

Computer skills: Using the Internet

Procedure:

Review weather words & questions.

Go over instructions for finding weather on Yahoo!

Give each student two cities from the list. Ask them to find the information and fill out the handout (page 2 of instructions.)

When most people have finished, pass out grid. Have students "ask around" until their grid is full.
