Technology Lesson Plan: “Buy” food at Netgrocer.com

Level: Beg Low- Int.

Length: 1 class period (1 1/2 hours)

Language objectives: Read food words, making buying decisions, ask & answer simple questions

Computer/Technology skills: Use the Internet.

Previously taught: food vocabulary, containers, numbers

Procedure:
Review food vocabulary.
Go over instructions for shopping at netgrocer.com and demonstrate with projector.
Have pairs work together to follow the instructions and fill a “shopping cart” with $50 worth of groceries.
When each pair has a printed “shopping cart,” students list what they bought at the top of the handout.

Students walk around to interview each other to fill out the rest of the handout.
