Technology Lesson Plan: Describe your dream house
Level: Intermediate
Length: One class period to find the picture and type the composition (2 hours).
Language objectives: Describe a dream house.
Computer/Technology skills:
(student and teacher)
1. Access website
2. Copy picture
3. Open Word.
4. Basic editing.
5. Insert picture.
6. Save and print file.
Previously taught: housing vocabulary, paragraph form
Procedure:
A day or two before students use the computers, ask them to write a paragraph describing their dream house. Correct the paragraphs.
On computer day, take students through the steps on the first page of the handout.Access google.com

When everyone has gotten to this stage, take them through the steps on the second page of the handout.
Open Word
Paste the picture
Center the picture
Type under the picture
If students are sharing computers, pair more computer-savvy students with partners who are less so. Let the first student finish the entire project & then help the partner.
